Not Accepting New Referrals
With 15 years of experience in providing counselling services to individuals, couples, and families, I have a deep commitment to supporting clients through complex relationship
challenges.
My training and experience have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the relationship dynamics that couples may face.
Throughout my career, I have developed a diverse skill set that allows me to address a variety of issues, ranging from communication breakdowns, separation/divorce, challenges arising from infidelity and affairs, loss of trust, intimacy, and conflict
resolution.
I’m able to provide and create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients, I have assisted many couples and families in exploring their concerns, helping them strengthen their relationships and improve their overall well-being.
My priority is to create and provide clients with a supportive, safe, non-judgemental, and confidential space so my clients feel comfortable in exploring their concerns and to strengthen their relationships.
Working alongside clients, I facilitate ways to understand and address any difficult issues they may be dealing with. This includes exploring solutions in response to their specific and immediate concerns, as well as supporting them in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and others to move forward and work towards their desired change.
Renata is a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, registered as a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Level 4.
She has been working in a therapeutic setting with individuals, couples, and families for the last 15 years. In addition, she also has experience in the areas of adoption, aged care, mediation within the workplace, as well as with adults and children with disabilities and their carers.
Renata completed both a Master’s Degree in Relationship Therapy in the UK, in addition to a Master’s Degree in Integrative Counselling in NSW, Australia, and an undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Sydney.
Her core practice approaches are Psychodynamic and Systemic models, combined with other models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Theory, and Solution-Focused Therapy. These modalities enable her to draw on many frameworks that are tailored to the unique needs of each client.
The approaches used are centred on helping individuals, couples, and families unravel and understand their deep-rooted feelings in order to facilitate positive change. By exploring thoughts, feelings, values, and beliefs - particularly how they connect to the past and influence present choices - she works with clients to gain clarity and insight.
Additionally, she emphasises the importance of understanding interpersonal interactions, their patterns, and communication, exploring how and what choices impact relationships. These approaches are particularly effective for those experiencing relationship difficulties and distress. Through self-reflection, clients are encouraged to consider alternative solutions and are guided to discover new ways to support their future growth and well-being.
